The Best Way to be Happy is Kindness

Blessings on World Kindness Day!

I’m convinced the best way to be happy is to make kindness the main theme in your life.

First of all it’s important to me you know this is my second chance. I was in a hit and run at 25 years old and left for dead. The Alchemy of Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama brought me back to life. However, it was a different life than what I had before. I was more awake. I realized this is Not a Rehearsal. This is it.

As I relearned how to walk in the world I decided to wake up and be 10% kinder and always choose happiness on this pilgrimage of the soul.

As Deepak Chopra puts it, “make happiness the goal of all other goals.”

There are so many hurt souls out their in the world including me and you. Right now more than ever, our core wounds are calling to be healed. Rejection, Separation, Shame, Denial, Repression, Guilt are part of the collective shadow. They will keep us stuck in repeating the same behaviors, staying in the same pain unless we recognize them.

Our work is to be kind and compassionate to those places within us that are wounded. This changes everything. The subject of our kindness practice begins with ourselves. Today make it count. Be kind.
