What is Reiki and Why I Practice Everyday for Happiness

On my #yogaretreats and @alchemyofyoga teacher trainings I am so happy to teach self healing through Reiki. What Is Reiki?
“Reiki” (ray – key) is a Japanese word meaning “universal life energy,” the energy found in all things. Usui Shiki Ryoh, applies this energy through touch for the purpose of creating the connection with Reiki. When connected with Reiki in a conscious way, an individual has the possibility of healing, awakening, and enlivening through this practice. 

Where Does the Usui System of Reiki Healing Come From?
Usui Shiki Ryoho (the Usui System of Natural Healing or Reiki Healing) is named after its founder, Dr. Mikao Usui.

The Four Aspects: 
Healing Practice, Personal Development, Spiritual Discipline and Mystic Order are the Four Aspects of Usui Shiki Ryoho.
These aspects describe the path of a student and the development of the system itself. This path and this development are not made by human decision but by the natural process of maturation. The human decision is to commit to this practice and follow one’s own path.

In other words, #Reiki is a spiritual healing practice that helps your system balance itself. Balance is always a good thing, because your body can only self-heal when your nervous system is balanced.

Reiki practice is unique in that you can receive a Reiki treatment or you can learn self practice.
Balance means different things at different times. If you are tired, you’ll feel refreshed. If you are anxious, you’ll feel serene. If you are distressed, you’ll feel comforted.
