Pose of the Day Tree Pose

Welcome to today’s #PoseOfTheDay, yogis! We are featuring Tree Pose, also known as Vrksasana in Sanskrit. This pose is a great way to improve balance, focus, and concentration while also strengthening the legs and core muscles. To practice this pose, follow these steps:

  1. Begin in Tadasana (Mountain Pose), standing tall with your feet hip-width apart and your arms by your sides.
  2. Shift your weight onto your left foot and lift your right foot off the ground.
  3. Place the sole of your right foot on your left inner thigh, with your toes pointing towards the ground.
  4. Press your foot into your thigh and your thigh into your foot, finding a steady and stable connection.
  5. Bring your hands together in front of your heart in prayer position, or reach your arms up towards the sky, with your palms facing each other.
  6. Keep your gaze focused on a fixed point in front of you, and breathe deeply and evenly.
  7. Hold the pose for 5-10 breaths, or as long as you feel comfortable.
  8. Release the pose by lowering your arms and leg back down to the ground, and repeat on the other side.

Tree Pose offers a variety of benefits, including:

  • Improving balance, stability, and coordination.
  • Strengthening the legs, core, and foot muscles.
  • Enhancing focus, concentration, and mental clarity.
  • Promoting relaxation and reducing stress.
  • Improving posture and alignment.

As with any yoga pose, listen to your body and modify the pose as needed. You can also try variations of the pose, such as placing your foot on your calf or ankle instead of your thigh. With regular practice, you can cultivate a strong and steady foundation, both on and off the mat. Namaste! #TreePose #Vrksasana #BalancePose #StrengtheningPose #YogaEveryDay

Hi love, I’m Silvia!

I’m a specialist in starting over.

Trauma revealed truths that took me to some faraway places for healing and wisdom. In Bali, South America, New Zealand, Australia, Laos, Hawaii and Malaysia, I soaked it up, took bold actions, and expanded what was possible for me.

Through all of this I learned something profound; the power of resiliency can be taught and even making a 5% change can change the future dramatically.

Now I teach women like you to access the power within you to change your life, celebrate your genius and start over to create any life you dare to dream.
