SAT KRIYA

TRUTH  SAT KRIYA

I had to start my 90 days in a row over again. My #sadhana has to be routine otherwise I won’t “catch up” later that day. It is why the power of #RITUAL is so important. It keeps us on track. I’ve set course to #beginagain. I start over on Sat Kriya and am attempting 90 days. Maybe you want to join me?
.
Yogi Bhajan says about 90 Days: Practice every day for 90 days straight. This will establish a new habit in your conscious and subconscious minds based on the effect of the kriya or mantra. It will change you in a very deep way.
.
What am I saying? Sat Nam. Truth is my identity. I practice so I don’t forget who I am and why I am here on this earth at this time.

How To Do It:
-Sitting on the heels in rock pose, interlace the fingers with the Jupiter (Index) fingers pointing straight up.
-Cross the thumbs: Females cross left over right and Males cross right over left.
-Raise the arms straight up and rotate the upper arms inward so that the arms are hugging the ears.
-In this position you will chant the mantra “Sat Naam” in the following way:
-Pull the navel point in* as you chant “Sat!” (Sounds like ‘Sutt.’)
-Release the lock as you chant “Naam.” (Almost like a sigh with the sound “Naam”)

Align with Abundance of Lakshmi

Dearest Beloveds,

Please join me in singing the Lakshmi chant:

“Om shri maha Lakshmi namaha”

Key to Happiness Alchemy of Balance

Each day, I ask myself “How do I maintain balance in order to live my best day ever?” As much as I try to stay balanced, I have learned that I can easily lose it.

Chanting, or using rhythmic speaking or singing of words and sounds is a great way to find balance. Om Namah Shivaya is my favorite mantra to repeat. During and after singing this song I feel a quiet but energized sense of equilibrium. And I learned that the elements and chakras are the syllables of Na, Ma, Shi, Va, Ya.

Om Namah Shivaya mantra uses the universal elements that govern each chakra: earth, water, fire, air, and ether. This song allows the chakras to better utilize the fundamental elements that exist in the chakra. When we repeat this mantra, we bring the chakras into balance with our energies. If you need a real time life balance exercise try saying or singing 108 rounds of this mantra, or even just a few.

This mantra also reminds us that we are born perfect (siddha), whole, and balanced. Our only job in this lifetime is to remember how AMAZING WE ARE! What you are experiencing through your journey as a human being is a return to balance where your energies are neither excessive nor deficient, but even.

Even your hands hold the reminder within them as each finger is aligned with an element and a chakra like this:

thumb = Fire Solar Plexus Chakra

first finger = Air Heart Chakra

middle finger = Ether Throat chakra

ring finger = Earth Root Chakra

pinky finger = Water Sacral Chakra

silvia-batik-energy-meditationBalance is easy to find and difficult to maintain: At the end of the day, it’s our responsibility to try. This is the key to happiness.

Love yourself, love your day, love your life! Silvia

Monday Mantra Lakshmi

I start my Monday with Mantra. I sing and play. I write. I sing and play. Repeat.

Singing to Lakshmi, invoking her energetic spirit of graceful happiness into my life with this song:

Om Namo Lakshmi, Prema Devi Mataji

oṃ: The eternal source-sound-vibration of creation.

namo: (Same as “namaha”) To honor, celebrate or recognize with respect.

lakshmī: Goddess of love, prosperity (both material and spiritual), wealth, and the embodiment of beauty. Her husband is Vishnu. And Rama and Krishna are incarnations of Vishnu.

premā: Love

devī: Goddess. “Prema Devi” together means the “Goddess of Love.”

mā/mātā: Mother

mātājī: “-ji” is used at the end of a name to show respect, for she is the One Who is Mother Earth and She is the One Who nourishes you.

Word break down above offered by my brother at Bhakti Breakfast Club

More about the Meaning of Lakshmi

lakshmi harmonium Feb

To be devoted to Lakshmi means I welcome her sweetness into my every breath. I feel happy when my heart is aligned with her tenderness. She is the ultimate Mother, the divine Ma, Mataji, who nurtures me when I need her most.

She is holding lotus blossoms and rising out from inside one to remind me to move beyond limitations, and find joy in what makes me unique in the world.

The lotus is one of the most beautiful flowers in the world and is a symbol of compassion, wisdom, and spiritual growth. It is an ancient symbol of our planet. Growing in muddy waters, and rising above the surface to bloom with remarkable beauty, at night the flower closes and sinks under water, rising again at dawn. It reminds us to reconnect to natural Spiritual Rhythm: harmony between dynamic and static masculine and feminine energies within us.

Invoking Lakshmi helps inspire me to restore balance to my inner and outer worlds. As well as to make time to enjoy the beauty that is all around us play, flow and feel elegance in movement!

ABOUT KIRTAN

“Kirtan is an ancient bhakti yoga practice using sacred song and the fuel of our emotions as an expression of devotion and heart-felt prayer. The word kirtan literally translates into “chanting the names of the divine to praise the infinite source, the One who orchestrates all.” ~ Govindas
