Peace be Still

PEACE BE STILL
Daily I chant silently and aloud Om Tare Tuttare Ture Swaha. My crystal Mala blessed by Amma is always on my right wrist. It holds this mantra. 💚
.
“Tara #mantra is often used to overcome physical, mental or emotional blockages. #GreenTara is very active and steps down to help all the beings. Only thing required is that we need to resign and let go of our clinging to a particular outcome, because, to cling to a particular outcome is often self-defeating, as it creates unhappiness and agitation, particularly when it involves other people. The more we have Tara’s non-grasping attitude the more happy we are. When chanting the Tara mantra, we need to let go and bring the energy back into ourselves. This will generate immense inner peace and clarity.

Tara mantra protects the mind
:
#Goddess Tara is truly amazing. The #Tara mantra protects the mind from negative thoughts and vibrations. By its devotional chanting, one’s awareness expands and then you can feel the power of the blessings of Tara, who is called as the mother of all buddhas. She is extremely powerful, #compassionate and very forgiving. The mantra is truly very calming and relaxing. It helps center and calm the noise of the mind which is hyperactive.
.
People who are chanting the mantra often finds that their inner compassion is awakened.
.
Friendliness and tolerance flower in to our being as the qualities of Tara #manifest in us as we chant the Tara mantra. It is believed that reciting her mantra 108 times daily invokes her swift blessings.”

Beauty is an Inside Job & Story Alert I Almost Broke my Nose

“You do not understand your features. Your features are not your beautiful nose, your beautiful cheeks, beautiful lips, and so on. These are not your features. Your features are your beautiful behavior, your beautiful character, your beautiful health, your beautiful spirit, your beautiful advice.” #YogiBhajan
.
June 16 I almost broke my nose while exploring an underwater cave in the Tyrrhenian Sea. That’s part of the experience when making new adventures 🙂 Anyhow, I’ve had to wear huge hats to protect my face as it healed. And also try to avoid the sun.
.
I went to a pharmacy here in Florence today and spoke to the owner and in true Italian style….as I explained to him as best I could in Italian that I was scared of scarring and my Mom was coming in a few days, he told me small imperfections make us the most beautiful. And that I was beautiful, not to worry so much. It touched my heart that he heard me, really connected to my concern and made me feel better all at the same time.
.
Our external features are all temporary. #Yoga teaches us life itself is impermanent so to practice #nonattachment. They way we look on the outside will change but our features truly are our beautiful behavior, character, health and spirit. Beauty is indeed an inside job.
.
Invoking Green Tara today the goddess of #compassion.

What Compassion Looks Like in Vinyasa

Compassion in Action – What I’ve dedicated my life to.

Green Tara is usually depicted as a compassionate being (Mother Buddha) ready to step down from her lotus throne to offer comfort and protection from all of the sufferings we experience in the world.

This was filmed with the mantra om tare tuttare ture swaha in mind.

Mantra Meaning: From your heart of compassion, please help me to let go and release all blockages so I may have peace, clarity and happiness.

In the teachings of the Dalai Lama he reminds us “that when we chant the Green Tara mantra, we are not simply asking for Tara’s blessings and help with our lives and our “real world” problems. Actually, we are also asking to be liberated from the misery of the mental delusions and negative emotions that blind us to true freedom, and to achieve the same enlightened body, speech and mind that Tara represents, not only for our own benefit, but for the benefit of all sentient beings.”

For me being near the water always promotes the feminine, lunar energy of nurturance. I need that in my life and I know you do too. Jim’s sound vibration makes this mantra even more powerful. I appreciate how he adds in English lyrics as well, “the secret of feeling alive is to love.” You also see me wearing multiple malas, one set are from Laos, “Mother Buddha” beads. They comfort me at all times.

All of the quotes within the video are from Rumi whose writings to me exemplify universal LOVE.
