What am I thinking? What a joy it is to #yoga #dance with #flowers. I am so grateful for the abilities of our bodies to move in all ways. The movement with breath is the art of consciousness expressing itself thru human form.
I am being moved.

#shoulderstand is a great practice of #ahimsa towards ourselves. As a teacher how you treat yourself, staying safe in your own body, is an indicator of how you’ll help keep others safe in your classes.
Practice of shoulderstand takes time. This variation took me ten years to lovingly create in my body.

Stir Your Honey Pot at Bali Spirit Festival

Think of all the things that give you pleasure and nurture you and this is related to the care and feeding of your honey pot.
If we ignore our hips they begin acting as the junk drawer of the body. In doing so, we lose our self-confidence, our emotional connection to each other, and our power to make #change
This workshop is a journey into #empowerment and reclaims our essential foundation for #happiness by focusing on the elements of earth and water.
1️⃣Through chakra one, we will learn skills for grounding and rooting ourselves in the Earth.
2️⃣In chakra two, we will reclaim the mysteries of #creativity, relationship to emotion, and devotion, as powerful agents of connection with ourselves and others.
Expect inspirational music and a juicy creative hip opening #vinyasa flow practice, great for detoxifying and grounding.
Practice starts with a heat building, hip & thigh opening sun salutation sequence, then moves into a series of hip openers where you will spend time breaking down and exploring the postures more deeply. The main poses we will work towards will be full bakasana, krounchasana and yogadandasana.
A deep savasana and mantra and song to end the workshop will help us truly move smoothly with our honey pots restored!

Yoga at the Airport

I am an admitted travel junkie. I spend up to 70% of my time making adventures around this work connecting to the beauty of the people and nature all around. In order to get where I’m going I have to get on an airplane.

I make the most of the time I have at airports like this one shown here in SouthEast Asia by practicing #yoga that doesn’t require a mat or special yoga clothes.

If you look at my website you’ll find all sorts of sequences that do not require touching the ground with your hands. This is built upon a “no downdogs allowed” concept so one doesn’t have to be wary of germs or not having the right equipment.

The types of flows I offer are: 1) Standing (like shown here) 2) seated in airport chair 3) using a wall. Enjoy and make the most of the opportunities for Yoga at the Airport. Love yourself, love your day, love your life! Silvia

Standing ready to dissolve
Lotus blossom opens up into Anjali mudra
